Te Tira Ahu Pae is proud to announce the appointment of Chiavanni Le’Mon as the new General/Distance President for 2025, a role focused on leading student voice for Massey University’s general and distance learners, with a firm grounding in Tiriti-led values and kaupapa Māori representation.

Massey University have been discussing a proposal to restructure the College of Creative Arts’ technician services. The proposed change would see 25 technician roles disestablished to make way for six new roles. These roles would sit under a new structure, where technician services are combined under one centralised "tech hub" entity.

Student Advocates are the hidden heroes of Massey University – most students don’t know about them until they find themselves facing one of the many academic or welfare issues that students may experience during their time at Uni. That’s when Te Tira Ahu Pae’s advocacy staff step up to help out.

Following our Elections earlier this year, we are very pleased to announce our new team of Student Reps for 2025! Student Reps represent the interests of students at Massey University, and proactively look for opportunities to improve student life and address student needs. 

Campus Kebab, which has been operating and serving students at Massey’s Albany campus for 18 years, are facing closure as Massey prepares to re-lease the building they operate in. Albany campus-based Student Reps are asking students to show their support by signing the petition.

On the 28th of March 2025, a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake rocked Myanmar, levelling homes, schools, hospitals, and entire neighbourhoods.

With support from Te Tira Ahu Pae, international students at Massey University’s Albany campus are working to help raise money for those in urgent need.
