MUA Sri Lankan Association
Albany Campus
At MUASLA (Massey University Albany Sri Lankan Association), we are a passionate, student-led club dedicated to creating a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students at Massey Albany. Our goal is to make student life more engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful by organising a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Some of the key events we host include our annual Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration, where we bring traditional games, food, and cultural performances to campus, and our End of Year Lunch, a fun and casual gathering to celebrate the achievements of the year with good food and great company. We also organise other events like game nights, volunteering opportunities, and collaborations with other cultural and academic clubs. Everything we do is driven by our desire to bring people together and build a strong sense of community on campus. We take pride in being a welcoming space for students from all backgrounds, encouraging cross-cultural understanding and lifelong friendships. Whether you're a local or international student, new to Massey or returning, you'll always find a place at MUASLA where you can belong, contribute, and grow. Leadership and personal development are a big part of what we offer too—we provide plenty of opportunities for students to step up, take initiative, and develop skills in event planning, communication, and teamwork. We also work closely with the Massey University Students’ Association to make sure student voices are heard and that our campus stays connected, inclusive, and vibrant. For many of us, MUASLA has been more than just a club—it’s a second home, a support network, and a place where unforgettable memories are made. Come say hi, get involved, and be part of the MUASLA family!
