The Melanesian Island Student Association (MISA) unites students from the five Melanesian nations: Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and New Caledonia, fostering strong connections among members studying at Massey University and living in the Palmerston North region. As a foreign student club, MISA serves as a “home away from home,” providing a safe, welcoming space that supports student well-being, academic success, and community belonging. MISA is focused on three main objectives: social, spiritual, and physical activities. These include regular monthly dinners, student fellowships, and excursions that help members stay connected and supported.
