TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NAME OF PROMOTION/GIVEAWAY

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Te Tira Ahu Pae, located at Level 1, Student Centre, Student Services Building, Massey University, Tennants Drive, Turitea Campus, Palmerston North, 4474.

2. Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to individuals who are currently enrolled at Massey University at any level of study at the time of entry.
  2. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  3. The competition is void where prohibited by law.

3. Competition Period

The competition begins on February 17th at 11am and ends on February 26th at 12.30pm (“Competition period”)

Entries received outside of this period will not be considered.

4. How to Enter

  1. Participates must submit feedback using the provided QR codes on the "How's the Event" posters, or in the links provided in Zoom chats. 
  2. Only one entry per person is permitted per QR code.
  3. Incomplete, invalid, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

5. Prize

  1. The prize consists of: 1 Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World
  2. The total approximate retail value of the prize is $889.00
  3. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative will be offered unless required by law.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if necessary.

6. Winner Selection

  1. The winner will be selected at the Te Tira Ahu Pae SGM by having the names of all entires submitted onto a spin wheel that will randomly select a winner on or around February 26th at 12.30pm.
  2. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding.
  3. The winner shall be notified via email and social media within 2 days of selection.

7. Claiming the Prize

  1. The winner must respond within 5 working days of notification.
  2. If the winner does not respond within the required timeframe, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  3. The Promoter may require proof of identity and eligibility before awarding the prize.
  4. The prize winner must enter the following details into the Promoter’s prize registry; Full name, Student ID number, email address.

8. Publicity

By entering the competition, participants agree that the Promoter may use the winner’s name, likeness, and entry for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. Data Protection

Personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Promoter is not responsible for:

  • Technical failures of any kind
  • Lost, delayed, or corrupted entries
  • Any injury or damage resulting from participation or acceptance of the prize

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from the competition.

11. General Conditions

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair its integrity.
  2. Only participants residing in New Zealand shall be eligible for entry
  3. A participant shall be considered ineligible for a prize if their total winnings for a given financial year would be greater than NZD$500.00. The exception being for an individual prize.
  4. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand.
