One major change for the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 is the need for all members to consent to membership. This means we can’t declare all students to be members, and we have to do some work-arounds to making sure students can still vote! As a result, you can sign up to be a member two through main ways —
- Opting in to becoming member of Te Tira Ahu Pae upon enrolling at Massey University, or
- Opting in to becoming a member upon logging in with your Massey University credentials on the Te Tira Ahu Pae website and participating in our elections or General Meetings.
Don’t worry — if you don’t opt in, you’ll still receive all the services provided by Te Tira Ahu Pae! However, you must opt in to membership if you wish to vote in our elections or General Meetings. Membership is free, and allows you have your voice heard at Te Tira Ahu Pae.
