Introduction
The Massey University Gardening Club is a welcoming, hands‑on community for students who enjoy plants, sustainability, and creating greener spaces on campus. We bring together beginners and experienced growers to learn practical skills, share knowledge, and build a supportive environment focused on wellbeing and connection.

Aims & Purpose
Our club promotes accessible gardening, food-growing skills, and sustainable living. We aim to create inclusive spaces where students can relax, learn, and contribute to small campus beautification and food‑security projects. Every member is encouraged to participate at their own pace — no prior experience needed.

Activities & Events
We run a range of workshops and activities throughout the year, including:

  • Seed raising, propagation, and herb growing
  • Container gardening and small build projects
  • Seasonal planting sessions and garden maintenance
  • Collaborative projects that support student wellbeing and community spaces

Membership
Membership is open to all Massey students. Whether you’re looking to grow your first plant, expand your skills, or meet like‑minded people, the Gardening Club offers a calm, friendly space to get involved.
