Welcome to DiverseMinds@MasseyManawatū!

DiverseMinds@MasseyManawatu is a social group to enable safe spaces for connection between neurodivergent students and community members.

Neurodivergence includes, but is not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Tourettes, learning disorders such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, auditory and visual processing disorders, communication disorders.

What you can expect from us:

• A safe, accessible, non-judgemental space to be yourself (also with a safe sensory zone)
• Access to fun and mindful activities e.g. board games, TTRPG, activity books, puzzles, video games
• Access to educational resources (e.g. books and pamphlets)
• Access to mindful resources, stim toys/fidget toys etc

We follow the Social Model of Disability!

That means we ensure:

• access to nearby disabled toilets
• wheelchair access
• sensory safe zone
• let us know if you need any other accommodations

DiverseMinds@MasseyManawatū is affiliated with Te Tira Ahu Pae (Massey University Student Association) and is associated with DiverseMinds@Massey (Massey University inclusive stream site).

While this is primarily a student group, we welcome neurodivergent community members (and allies) e.g. staff, friends, family.
