I have always been the type of person to excessively help in communities and be of service to others. The student rep role is nothing but just a title to me, however through this role I am able to be a connection between students, staff and the wider Pasifika community. I am passionate about representing and uplifting Pasifika students and ensuring that our voices are heard in spaces where decisions about our education and wellbeing are made. In this position I want to help create an environment where Pasifika students feel seen, supported and proud of who they are. Our cultures, values and perspectives are important and I believe they deserve to be reflected in all learning areas.
For me, representation is about more than attending meetings or sharing opinions—it is about listening, understanding and taking action. I believe that when students feel supported, valued and included our community becomes stronger. I want to use this role to create opportunities for our Pasifika students to share their ideas, celebrate our diverse cultures and work together to build an environment where everyone feels they belong.
Serving others has always been something I am passionate about, and being a student representative allows me to turn that passion into meaningful change. I am committed to being approachable, reliable and dedicated to making sure our student community continues to grow in a positive and supportive way.
