Kia ora!
I'm Nafis Kazi, a Master of Finance (Financial Technology) student at Massey University, originally from Bangladesh. Before starting my studies, I worked for a few years in a corporate role back home, which gave me solid experience engaging with different stakeholders and communicating clearly, skills I want to bring to this role.I was also President of my Debate Club, both at school and university, which shaped who I am today. I'm an extroverted, people-first person who genuinely enjoys leadership and bringing people together, and I think that makes me well suited to representing others.
As an international student myself, I understand the challenges we face: adjusting to a new country, a new academic system, and sometimes feeling like our voices aren't fully heard. I'm running for International Representative because I want to be an approachable, genuine point of contact for international students, someone who listens first and advocates second. My goal for the term is to help international students feel more supported, informed, and included across campus life.
