I'm Aum, a postgraduate student in the Master of Information Sciences at Massey Albany, with a background in Computer Science. As both an international and postgraduate student, I understand the specific challenges that come with this stage of study in terms of navigating a new country and academic system, managing independent workloads and research pressures, and finding the right support at the right time.

I'm applying to be a Student Representative because I want to make that experience better for others: ensuring students know what support is available, advocating for clearer communication on issues that affect international and postgrad students specifically, and creating more opportunities to build community across campuses and disciplines. My goal for the term is to be approachable and easy to reach, so students feel comfortable raising concerns and to make sure those concerns lead to real action from the university, not just acknowledgment. I will put in the effort to represent you well and do right by every student in this role.
