Hi! 

I’m putting myself forward for President because I want students to know they have someone in their corner. I also want to strengthen our connections with the wider student movement and our allies, making sure Te Tira Ahu Pae is connected, present and active where students’ interests are being discussed.

I don’t assume I know what every student wants. Instead, I want to be someone you can talk to, who will listen and turn those conversations into action. Whether that means pushing for change, championing an issue, or supporting what’s already working in different corners of our student community.

My professional experience in marketing, governance and representation roles aside, I’m somebody who roots for the underdog, advocates for inclusion, and I’m not afraid to ask difficult questions or navigate tricky conversations.

This is a role that needs to be taken seriously, but I don’t think that means taking ourselves too seriously. I’m here for the hard work, the wins and the connections, as well as the laughs, the memories and the occasional shenanigans along the way.

I believe I have the experience, energy and commitment to do this role justice, let's go!
