I'm Sarika Singer, currently pursuing Bachelor of Business (Finance) at Massey University, Ōthehā/Albany. Back in school I was Cultural Coordinator in Class 9 (2022) and then Head Girl (2023) in Class 10, a role usually given much later. People trusted me early to lead the school council, organise events and look after my classmates, and that experience shaped how I work with others. Solving problems and helping people has always felt natural to me , been actively involved in volunteering social work for over 4+ years, with experience through various community and service initiatives.— I enjoy knowing what’s troubling someone and finding practical ways to support them.

As an international student, coming here alone taught me how much quiet strength it takes when everything feels new. Albany already has a supportive environment, and that made me want to contribute.

If elected as General Campus Student Representative, I simply want to be someone students can talk to and work with , not someone who makes empty promises but — a real bridge between students and the university. I’ll listen, stay practical, and deal with the issues that actually come up, step by step and realistically, so campus life feels a little easier and more connected for everyone.
