Kia ora!

I am studying full-time online while residing in Hawkes Bay to take care of my Dad currently navigating his life with increasing health issues. Despite that workload, I've always found myself gravitating back to tertiary studies. Prior to joining Massey University, I was living in Dunedin and studying at the University of Otago; and I absolutely loved every moment of being a student.

I find that there are certain parts of being a distance student that can't be experienced compared to being an on-campus student - but these experiences can be brought to greater levels for our distance students if we allow for more participation, accessibility, and opportunities to services and events. I want to push for this, because every student deserves to live a balanced life of nurturing their whare tapa whā while studying. For distance-students, this means bringing on more opportunities to enjoy O-Week & student events, access more University resources no matter where they are located, and continue confidently studying without worries.
