Kia ora!

Kia ora! I’m MJ, he/him, and after a successful and rewarding year as one of your Pāmamao/Distance representatives for 2026, I would love to continue this mahi in 2027. I have studied at Massey via distance on and off since 2016, which means I have experienced firsthand the shifts in our distance programs and the wider university landscape.

Distance learning offers incredible flexibility, but it can also feel isolating, which means that dedicated and accessible advocacy is essential. In 2026, I’ve worked to ensure distance students have a strong voice in decision-making processes and access to all the support Massey has to offer. I care deeply about the unique challenges Distance students face, and it remains a privilege to advocate for our community. I would love the opportunity to keep building on this work in 2027!
